High Risk Training Academy Pty Ltd (RTO #46215) has introduced a new purpose-built mobile training trailer designed to deliver more realistic, hands-on learning experiences for high-risk work environments across Western Australia.
The initiative reflects a growing demand from industries such as construction, utilities, infrastructure, and maintenance for training that goes beyond classroom theory and better replicates the conditions workers face on site every day.
Traditional training environments can limit the ability to simulate practical hazards and operational pressures. In response, HRTA committed to developing a mobile solution that brings immersive, compliant training directly to clients improving both accessibility and competency outcomes.
After more than 12 months of planning, design, and refinement, HRTA has officially launched its latest mobile training unit, designed to support delivery of key nationally recognised units including:
- RIIWHS204E – Work Safely at Heights
- RIIWHS202E – Enter and Work in Confined Spaces
- MSMWHS217 – Gas Test Atmospheres
The trailer recently completed its first live deployment with Alkimos Seawater Alliance, marking an important milestone in its rollout.
A Practical, Site-Ready Training Solution
The mobile training trailer has been fully customised to replicate high-risk work environments within a controlled and safe setting. It has been designed to support practical, competency-based learning aligned with legislative and workplace safety requirements.
Training delivered through the unit includes hands-on activities such as harness selection, fitting and inspection, correct use of fall arrest and restraint systems, identification of anchor points, and safe setup procedures for working at heights. It also covers hazard identification, risk assessment, safe work practices on elevated structures, and emergency response procedures including basic rescue techniques.
By bringing these scenarios into a mobile format, HRTA can deliver training directly at client sites, reducing the need for staff to travel off-site and minimising operational disruption.
The first deployment with Alkimos Seawater Alliance provided an opportunity to test the system in a live environment, supporting workers to build confidence through practical application in conditions closely aligned with real workplace tasks.

The initial rollout of the mobile training trailer demonstrated strong outcomes across engagement, participation, and practical skill development. Workers were able to apply safety procedures in a realistic setting, strengthening both confidence and competency in high-risk tasks.
