Prerequisites & Course Requirements

Persons must be 18 years of age or older
Photo ID must be presented i.e. current drivers licence or passport
Basic numeracy skills.
Basic English language and literacy
USI Number
Appropriate clothing (Hi Vis shirt, long pants, with steel cap boots)

How Is the Course Delivered?

The TLILIC0022 course is delivered through face-to-face training, combining theoretical knowledge with practical, hands-on experience.

The course is designed to be completed in up to five (5) days, giving participants the skills needed to safely and effectively perform crane tasks.

What Will You Learn?

This course is designed to develop proficiency in operating a slewing mobile crane up to 20 tonnes, with a focus on:

Planning Crane Operations: Understanding site conditions, crane configuration, and load requirements to ensure safe operations.
Conducting Pre-Operational Checks: Inspecting the crane and its components to confirm it is safe to operate.
Setting Up the Crane: Positioning the crane correctly and ensuring that all safety measures are in place.
Operating the Crane Safely: Executing lifts with precision, following load charts, and adhering to safety regulations.
Shutting Down and Securing the Crane: Properly shutting down the crane and securing it after use to maintain safety on the job site.

Course Structure and Assessment

Students are assessed through a combination of practical skills demonstrations, scenario-based assessments, and written or verbal questioning.

This rigorous assessment process ensures that participants are fully competent in all aspects of crane operation before being awarded their qualification.

Licensing and Certification

Upon successful completion of this unit, participants will receive a Nationally Recognised Statement of Attainment for:
